Crankcase Oil Breather kit
It has been specifically designed to allow users to attach a -10 AN aeroquip style hose to the front of the engine block to release oil vapour from the crankcase.
On many performance vehicles, an aftermarket oil breather and catch can setup is required to eliminate the potential harmful effects of pressure build up in the crankcase. In most cases, these engines will run tubular manifolds and the heat given off from them poses a risk to any rubber hoses used in close proximity. This product has been designed to use Aeroquip style fittings and as such, provide a safe, leak free solution.
This product is designed to fit the following vehicles:
* Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec
* Ford Focus 2.0 Zetec
* Ford Focus ST170
* Ford Focus RS (Mk 1)
However, as it is designed to fit Zetec variant engines, it may also fit the Ford Mondeo range and other applications of the Zetec engine. As these have not been tested in house, we must advise accordingly that the seller purchases with this in mind.
The crankcase breathers are CNC machined from 6082 T6 Aluminium billet material by time served British engineers and are finished with a 40micron clear anodise to BS5599. A black anodised bung and a -10AN fitting are also included in the sale and are interchangeable to suit your requirements.
Key points to note on this product include:
* Baffled ventilation section to allow only oil vapour to exit through the breather, not liquid oil
* No risk of any parts working loose and entering the engine
* Viton O-Ring pre-installed to elimate the need for the notoriously leaky gasket, seal this breather take off directly against the block!
* Elongated bolt holes to allow rotational adjustment to ensure clearance of turbo manifolds etc.
